Princess and the Pea

Who does not love this story? It´s one of my favourites i heard this story since i was little and I am never tired of it! Story wrote by Hans Christian Andersen:

There was once a prince, and he wanted a princess, but then she must be a real Princess. He travelled right around the world to find one, but there was always something wrong. There were plenty of princesses, but whether they were real princesses he had great difficulty in discovering; there was always something which was not quite right about them. So at last he had come home again, and he was very sad because he wanted a real princess so badly.

One evening there was a terrible storm; it thundered and lightninged and the rain poured down in torrents; indeed it was a fearful night.

In the middle of the storm somebody knocked at the town gate, and the old King himself sent to open it.

It was a princess who stood outside, but she was in a terrible state from the rain and the storm. The water streamed out of her hair and her clothes; it ran in at the top of her shoes and out at the heel, but she said that she was a real princess.

‘Well we shall soon see if that is true,’ thought the old Queen, but she said nothing. She went into the bedroom, took all the bed clothes off and laid a pea on the bedstead: then she took twenty mattresses and piled them on top of the pea, and then twenty feather beds on top of the mattresses. This was where the princess was to sleep that night. In the morning they asked her how she slept.

‘Oh terribly bad!’ said the princess. ‘I have hardly closed my eyes the whole night! Heaven knows what was in the bed. I seemed to be lying upon some hard thing, and my whole body is black and blue this morning. It is terrible!’

They saw at once that she must be a real princess when she had felt the pea through twenty mattresses and twenty feather beds. Nobody but a real princess could have such a delicate skin.

So the prince took her to be his wife, for now he was sure that he had found a real princess, and the pea was put into the Museum, where it may still be seen if no one has stolen it.

Now this is a true story.

So this week i came up with an idea make a photo shooting and a party decoration for a friend´s daughter that had the first birthday.And you can imagine the theme ...

I had so much fun doing it that I´m thinking become a photograph in my free time, what do you think? isn´t she so cute? I love her she is a real princess!

Another Christmas present

The time is flying, between the crafts and the home change i think i will not have everything ready! I leave you an inspiration and I m back for my boxes and finish packing!

Twelve days to Christmas

I love the Christmas time and all of the traditional things, today while I was working with the babies I realize that only 12 days are missing for Christmas, and I wanted to listen the carol "12 days of Christmas", the children really love the song too!
The time is flying and my 12 elf's are really working without stopping to make sure all presents are ready wrapped and delivery to all my friends and family.
So today I ´m making a felt coaster pack for one more present, hope you like it!

Es: Me encantan las navidades y todo lo que es tradicional, hoy mientras estaba con los bebés en clase me he apercibido que apenas 12 días faltan para el dia de Navidad y así hemos escuchado el Villancico “12 days of Christmas” , a los niños también le gusta mucho esta canción.

El tiempo vuela y mis 12 duendes están trabajando sin parar para se aseguraren que todos los regalos están listos, embrollados y entregues a todos los amigos y familiares.

Por eso hoy estoy haciendo un conjunto de posa vasos de fieltro. Espero que os guste!

Creating Pitchie the Witch

Today i decided to enjoy the Holiday at home making one of my favourite things drawing in the computer! So the grumpy princess needed a partner and nothing better then a witch to play with a princess :)

Pitchie is a very funny and amusing witch, she likes to see everybody laughing and some times (almost every time) she is a bit crazy, i think she is adorable, i hope you like her too!

Es: Hoy he decidido aprovechar el festivo en casa y hacer una de mis cosas favoritas, diseñar con el ordenador! Así the grumpy princess necesitaba a una compañera y nada mejor que una brujita para jugar con una princesaJ

Pitchie es una graciosa y divertida bruja, adora toda la gente y le gusta ponerlas todas a reír, por veces (casi siempre) es un poco loca, para mi es adorable y espero que os guste también!

Preparing Christmas

When this time of the year arrives, I start to make my Christmas decorations and think what presents for each person! In this moment I’m preparing two for my friends, I’m sewing a pompom rug and knitting a baggy bolero, I’m really enjoying making both!

Es: Cuando llega esta altura del año, quiero empezar con mis decoraciones navideñas y pensar que regalos dar a cada persona! En este momento estoy preparando dos para mis amigas, estoy cosiendo una alfombra de pompón e a tejer un baggy bolero, estoy encantada de hacer los dos!

For the baggy bolero i use Pickles pattern and is really easy!
Es: Para el baggy bolero he usado el patron the Pickles, es muy facil!

Updating "Pom pom rug"

I´m really happy with my work the pom pom rug is really colourful and i will definitely make one for me !
ES: estoy super contenta con mi trabajo en esta alfombra de pompon, voy hacer una para mi seguro!!
